Kumquat Pomegranate Cocktail and A New Business

Kumquat Pomegranate CocktailToday, after weeks of working late hours and testing our product, my husband and I are officially launching our new business. GrubKit.com is a website offering recipe kits delivered to your home. Each kit comes with recipes and pre-measured, non-perishable ingredients that you can either prepare at home by adding a few fresh items or send as a gift to a friend. To celebrate our new venture, I’ve created a refreshing kumquat pomegranate cocktail. Here’s to new adventures, cheers!

If you like our idea, we would love to get feedback on it and ask you to share with friends and family. We’re on facebook / twitter / pinterest and would absolutely appreciate the social media love :). Thanks for stopping by and hope you’ll try out one of our recipe kits.

This cocktail recipe is good for 4 servings. In a pitcher, I simply mixed a cup of pomegranate juice, 1/4 cup of grenadine, 3/4 cup of vodka and the juice of one whole lime. Pour this mixture over ice, then top with sparkling water and garnish with sliced kumquats.
Note – If you don’t have grenadine, the recipe is simple. In a small pan, simmer 3/4 cup of pomegranate juice and reduce by half, then stir in 1/4 cup of maple syrup. Turn heat off and place in the fridge until cold and ready to use.
