Swiss Chard Green Smoothie with Lime and Banana

Swiss Chard Lime SmoothieMy last green smoothie post with romaine and coconut milk, was about 2 months ago so I think it’s about time for a new recipe. This green smoothie is refreshing and best enjoyed cold, perfect for the warmer weather. Swiss chard is the main ingredient and you can use any kind of chard, the taste should make no difference. Strawberry Cashew Green Smoothie with Romaine and Coconut Milk

Strawberry Cashew Green SmoothieThis green smoothie recipe is adapted from Victoria Boutenko’s book Green Smoothie Revolution. The taste is also a bit milder and sweeter than curly kale, perfect for a morning green smoothie!

Ever heard of a green smoothie with cinnamon? No, neither have I! In order to keep up with the festive theme of the last few weeks, I’ve tried to come up with a “holiday green smoothie”. It turned out to be a refreshing mix of apples, banana, cinnamon and romaine lettuce. You hardly notice the romaine lettuce, the smoothie tastes more like applesauce, but an applesauce you can drink! It’s smooth and creamy with a hint of cinnamon, the perfect flavor during the holidays.
